A story of love and acceptance of oneself, a truly valuable lesson for this day and age, when children are exposed on social media to unreasonable standards of what a person should look like. Love this book. (Also teaches colors and animals, perfect for smaller kids too!)
Panda's colors are black and white. His friends are colorful. You have to be grateful for yourself.

What I like about Panda is it helps us to appreciate our unique self. No need to pretend what we are not, because each one was created by God with a very beautiful soul and true self.

Why does Panda want to change his color to green? That will make him look funny. Did you know there are only a few brown pandas left in the world? They shouldn't change colors too.
Ida is a preschool teacher and children's book author, born and raised in Manila. She studied Early Childhood Education at De La Salle University, and advocates movement and play through interactive storytelling.
She celebrates her Filipino culture by featuring everyday local treasures in her stories. Following her debut, Panda and the Magic Soap, Panda and the Tasty Adventure is her second children's book.
When she isn't writing, you can usually find her daydreaming under a purple and peach sky.
